Questions, wrong answers, missing facts — write to arritgashi@gmail.com. A screenshot of the card helps most: it shows the source and the date the app had.
What Axiomo is
Axiomo answers factual questions from a database stored on your phone: 251,939 things and 2,575,625 facts, each with its source and an as-of date. It works without an internet connection, has no account, and never sends your questions anywhere.
How to ask
- Plain words:
who is the president of France, when was Titanic released, population of Japan in 2010. - Units on request:
how tall is Mount Everest in feet, boiling point of water in fahrenheit. - Follow-ups: after an answer about a person,
when did he die. - A bare name shows everything the app knows about it:
Marie Curie.
When it says "not in my database"
Axiomo never guesses. If the fact is not stored, it says so, and the Search online button opens your browser — that is the one time the app goes online for a question. When a name belongs to several things, each answer is shown under its own label so you can tell them apart.
Where the data comes from
Wikidata (CC0), with Wikipedia as a second source where the two can be compared. Every card names its source and the date the fact was recorded. Dated facts — offices, populations, teams — carry their period, so an old answer is still a true one.
Privacy
